I knew I couldn't handle it on my own and Im so grateful for him. He tied me to him and helped me climb the ladder. It is definitely a hard task with climbing back up and terrifying might i add, but my AMAZING guide went above and beyond to help me. #AVENTURA THE LAST ZIP ZIP#After the zip line i did the water rappelling which i really didn't know what i was getting myself into. My guide was marco throughout the whole time and few other gentlemen. You see amazing views from all over and it truly is unforgettable. zipline- AMAZING! I truly enjoyed every minute of my time flying in the air. They arrived at 7:40am and we started the amazing day! I was the only one who booked the combo tour of 12 zip lines, water rappelling and horseback riding. I booked a last minute excursion online, by last minute I mean 10pm the night before and then got up and had my hotel call them at 7am to confirm in the morning. Something I'll never forget! THANKS Arenal Mundo Adventura! (Especially Albert!) -The Stewarts I am a young fit girl and I found the activity to be moderately challenging, so I wouldn't recommend it unless you are semi active. That was so scary but awesome at the same time. After that we had to climb up the tiny WET ladder back up the waterfall. The actual rappel down the waterfall was next.OMG! This was the scariest part for me but I was so proud I got through it and when I got to the bottom where the waterfall was I felt so accomplished and at peace with the nature all around. The zip was long and fast but WOW the view was so stunning. I thought "How the HECK am I going to do this?!" But as I mentioned the staff was patient and made me feel safe and comfortable. The stairs to the zip-line alone were enough to rattle my fear LOL. I have a HUGE fear of heights and knew this tour would be a challenge. It was our first day in CR and we had a little bit of a hard time finding it AND we were even a little late but they waited for us! They were very safe, informational, and patient. Thank you Meylin, Fabian, Hector & Alonso for making it a great outing (and thank you Alonso for pointing out the 2 Toucans at the last tower - they were the only Toucans I saw on the whole trip!) HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!! In one day I got to see it from ground level (in the morning - I have reviewed this too) and, in the afternoon, at 240 meters / 270 yards above the base of the falls!! Loved the whole experience! An added plus, for me, of the metal zip-lines was that they 'sing' as people zip along them - I found it a more involving experience than the silent carbon-fiber lines at Los Lagos. I had already Zip-lined at Los Lagos Resort (they use carbon-fiber lines - silent and fast) but wanted to zip-line La Fortuna Waterfall and the only company to offer this is Arenal Mundo Adventura, so I paid my money and off I went! What can I say but 'IT WAS GREAT!!!' 13 lines - the longest being 20 meters shy of a kilometer (0.6 mile) and the fastest lines being around 60 km / 40 ml per hour, all of which I enjoyed BUT the best for me was zipping over La Fortuna Waterfall.
